Permanent supervision by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA)

Our firm holds the status of a “securities firm” (Maison de titres), regulated under Swiss federal law. Firms of this type, licensed by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) in Bern, are subject to professional secrecy under Article 69 of the Swiss Financial Institutions Act (FinIA) and are subject to ongoing supervision by FINMA. Risk control requirements (including minimum capital requirements) and depositor protection are key elements of this regulatory framework.

Are my deposits protected by the deposit insurance scheme?

Yes. Like all banks and securities firms in Switzerland, Hottinger Gaultier & Partners AG is required to be a signatory to the agreement between esisuisse and its members and is therefore a member of esisuisse.

Client deposits held with Swiss branches are protected up to a maximum of CHF 100,000 per client. Cash bonds (Kassenobligationen) deposited with the issuing bank in the depositor’s name are also considered protected deposits.
